Asamoah to Chester?

Derek Asamoah looks poised to leave Lincoln City with Chester City poised to make a move for the diminutive forward.

The 24-year-old Ghana-born forward has been a regular for the Imps this season, but significantly was left out of the starting line-up for the last two games and he could be re-united with his former boss from his Mansfield days, Keith Curle.

The deal, though, could hinge on whether Chester decide to sign on-trial midfielder Adriano Rigoglioso, formerly of Doncaster.

Asamoah has scored only two goals in 43 outings for the Imps since signing from Mansfield in March 2005 and has frustrated boss Keith Alexander with his inconsistent displays.

Meanwhile, Chester have agreed to sign Luxembourg goalkeeper Stefan Gillet, subject to international clearance.

The 28-year-old is a former Paris St-Germain player and could be included in their squad for Saturday's FA Cup clash with Cheltenham.
