Serie A side Atalanta are planning to hand Ghana international Richmond Yiadom Boakye a permanent deal after signing the striker on loan from Juventus last year.

The 22-year-old joined the Old Lady from Genoa in 2012 but has been loaned out to clubs including Sassuolo, Elche and Atalanta in the space of three years.

According to calcionews24.com, La Dea are keen on acquiring the player from Juventus as they seek to build a stronger squad for next season.

Following the signing of Argentine forward Paulo Dybala and the imminent arrival of Domenico Berardi, Boakye's future in Turin looks quite bleak.

He played 22 matches with Atalanta in all competitions last season scoring five goals.

According to reports, Inter Milan, Sampdoria and Torino are also monitoring the centre-forward and could make a swoop should he decide not to stay at Atalanta.

Boakye moved to Genoa in 2009 from Ghanaian side Bechem United and scored on his senior debut for the club against Livorno on April 3, 2010 after impressing in the youth team.

His best season so far in Italy was the 2012-2013 campaign during which he recorded 11 goals in 31 appearances for Sassuolo where he was on loan.

Boakye has been capped eight times at senior level for Ghana and has netted four goals. He was part of Ghana's team at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
