Ghana star Christian Atsu is expecting better turn of events in his career after shining at the justended 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The left-footer, who is blessed with quick feet, was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.
This was after Atsu and the rest of the Black Stars squad finished second at the tournament behind Ghana’s neighbours, Cote D’Ivoire.
The Chelsea winger, who is on loan to Everton, stated that he is extremely happy to have emerged the best player in the most prestigious football tournament on the continent.
The extraordinary achievement, he said, was an indication that his career had experienced a massive improvement.
Atsu however said he would not allow his MVP accolade to get into his head, stressing that he would continue to work hard.
The Ghana player described himself as a strong person with sound mental toughness so he doesn’t give up easily in life.
Atsu said he has the firm belief that God is on his side so his career would continue to grow from strength to strength.
The highly talented player noted that he is anticipating a great football career full of accomplishments.
Atsu, who sounded religious, said with God’s protection and favour, he would develop into a world football star, soon.
