Augsburg warding off interest in Baba

Ghana defender Baba Rahman is likely to remain with Augsburg for at least one more season due to the hefty price tag placed on his head.

The 20-year-old is reportedly being tracked by a host of elite European clubs including Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Roma.

But the interest in the talented left-back appears to be dwindling due to the hefty €25m being demanded by Augsburg.

Though Baba Rahman has had an excellent season since joining Augsburg, sources say interested clubs are not overly convinced into parting with such huge sum of money for the youngster.

There are also claims that Augsburg’s high demand is only to ward off interest in the Ghana international.

Rising reports of interest in Baba Rahman has died down in recent weeks – giving credence to the new development. Rahman started playing in Europe only in 2012 when he joined Greuther Furth. He has however remained consistent to be regarded one of the best emerging talents in the game.
