Information gathered by Sportscrusader.com indicates that Black Stars Coach Avram Grant is going to hand call-ups to some players in addition to his already named provisional 31 man squad.
It is unknown how many players will be called up although information has it that former Hearts of Oak striker could be in the frame for a call up.
According to the spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association, the call-ups will be for observatory purposes’.
“We cannot confirm names at the moment because there are implications from the end of their clubs. We need to inform their clubs to as well so that we don’t violate any FIFA rules”.
Avram Grant last week named a provisional 31 man squad for the African Cup of Nations which begins on January 17 in Equatorial Guinea.
The team started non-residential camping at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra on Wednesday with fourteen players.
The team is expected to leave for Spain later this week to put final touches to their preparations.
The team will be pruned down to 23 before the start of the tournament.
The Black Stars are in Group C alongside Senegal, Algeria and South Africa.
