Defender Awudu Nafiu has admitted difficulty in identifying the real problem accounting for AshantiGold’s poor form which has seen them slip into the relegation zone.
The defending champions are lying 14th after their 0-0 draw with Bechem United on Sunday at the Len Clay Stadium.
AshGold won only two games in the current season with one at home and one at away.
They are yet to win at home since their league opener against Medeama SC and have drawn three and lost two of their last five home games.
The stalwart defender believes the team lacks luck as well that has resulted in their current form.
"If you ask myself, I can't tell what the problem is because it's beyond my imagination. That's football if you understand, sometimes these things happen. What I will say is that we are not giving up yet," Awudu told the media.
"Our supporters and those behind us should pray for us because we need more luck.
"As you can see, we have been playing very well but our luck is less so they should pray for us. We too will prepare very hard."
