Ghana international Andre Ayew has said he wants to help Marseille finish well in the French Ligue 1 before shifting attention to the summer World Cup.
The winger admitted that although Brazil 2014 will be the biggest football stage this year, he would not let it divide his focus since the French top-flight is also equally important to him.
“Brazil is the country of football. There will be a whole crowd of Brazilians behind them. I think it will be a good World Cup, logically,” the left-footed player told RMC.
“As I say, I put it aside. I want to finish well with Marseille and after I'll have time for the World Cup.”
Ayew is a sure bet for the Mundial and will be one of the key players the Black Stars will rely on to deliver in their third successive appearance at the global football fiesta.
Ghana have been paired in Group G with Germany, Portugal and the USA.
