B/A United's Appeal Dismissed

… Arsenal keeps the heat on Kotoko, Hearts.

The Appeals Committee of Ghana Football Association found no fresh evidence in the B/A United’s appeal against the decision of the Disciplinary Committee a couple of weeks ago, and hence dismissed it yesterday at its hearing in Accra.

The power of Apostles Soccer had appealed against the ruling by Disciplinary committee to the effect that B/A United used unqualified player in the person of Daniel Bomfah in their 3rd week league match at Sunyani.

The legal team of Berekum Arsenal challenged the eligibility of Bomfah, (see Articles 31(6), 25 2ii) of GFA Rules and Regulations, arguing that the ITC of the player had not been secured at the time of the match. The player had just returned from India where he went to play for a club for some weeks. It is still unclear whether the ITC of Bomfah has now arrived or not.

B/A United won the said match 2-0.
