Former Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure is set to join Ghanaian Premier League Club Bechem United. Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.
The 28-year-old who is currently in his native country Ivory Coast is expected to touch down in Ghana tomorrow to finalize a deal with the Bechem-based Club.
Toure who recently had a trial with South African giants Kaizer Chiefs will thus be making a return to the domestic top-flight after parting ways with the Porcupine Warriors prior to the start of the season.
The player had his contract abrogated by the Ghanaian giants after failing to join the team’s preseason exercise.
The Burkina international is however set to return to the domestic scene after months away from competitive football.
“We almost done with Toure, we are expecting him tomorrow in the country so we can finalize the move,” Operations manager of Bechem United Francis Addae told Ghanasportsonline.com.
“The deal is 80% complete so it is likely he will join us for the second round of the season.”
Toure ended the 2014/15 season as the top scoring for Asante Kotoko after netting 11 times for the Reds.
