Big incentive package for Hearts players on Sunday

Every goal scored by Accra Hearts of Oak in their Champions League match against Lobi Stars of Nigeria in Accra on Sunday, will attract a 1000 U.S. dollars bonus from the management of the club in addition to what the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will pay.

Mr E. Commodore-Mensah, Chairman of the Planning Committee of Hearts Africa Champions League Management announced this at a reception held for the media in Accra. The reception was aimed at briefing the press on incentive package being put in place for Sunday's match. He said the committee has also promised the team of 50,000 dollars should they win the match. On ticket malpractices, Mr Commodore-Mensah said every effort would be made to arrest the situation. He said a private security printing company has agreed to take the job of printing the tickets free as their sponsorship for the Club.

Commodore-Mensah said there would be no advance ticket sales and asked soccer fans to buy the correct ticket from the stadium since they would have themselves to blame when caught in any fraudulent deal. He thanked the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) for coming into alliance with the club and called on other corporate bodies to come to the aid of the club in terms of sponsorship.

Mr Commodore-Mensah also called on supporters of the club to rally behind it to enable it win the continental trophy this year.
