Head Coach of the Amputee Football team, Black Challenge, Ali Jara has confirmed that 18 players, together with 10 officials, will leave Ghana on the 26th of this month ahead of their participation in the Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico

The Black Challenge, who are currently in camp ahead of their participation in the World Cup, received a major boost this week when a philanthropist donated 15 footballs, 10 pairs of clutches, and a set of jerseys to the federation prior to the tournament.

Information gathered by sportscrusader.com has it that, Ghana National Petroleum Company, GNPC, will sponsor the team’s expenses at the World Cup.

It will be recalled that the federation’s past president, Nii Adesah, presented a budget to GNPC ahead of the world cup, though no communiqué has been released by the petroleum company, sources say they will come to the Black Challenges’ aid before the team departs to Mexico.

The team’s trip to Japan for the International friendlies with three other amputee football clubs in the Asian country this week has hit a snag due to lack of funds
