The national Under-21 team, the Black Satellites have been recalled to camp on Tuesday, October 5, in preparations towards their second leg game against Cote d' Ivoire in the qualifiers of the Africa Youth Championship in Benin next year.
The Satellites lost the first leg in Accra last Friday by a lone goal and are scheduled to play the return encounter in two weeks time in Cote d' Ivoire and they harbour the hope of turning the scales against the Ivorians.
The technical team has therefore invited 23 players including six new players to augment the squad.
The new players are Frank Andoh and Daniel Asamoah from AshantiGold who were initially withdrawn from the team by management of the team for club commitments.
Other new players are Alex Asamoah from Berekum Arsenals, Kwesi Pobie Ansah of King Faisal, Kwabena Yaro and Isaac Vorsah from Okwawu United and FC Mitdjyland respectively.
GNA Sports gathered that five members of the squad are conspicuously missing from the team on different reasons.
Kweku Essien, a key midfielder of Kumasi Asante Kotoko who missed the first leg on health grounds has been dropped along side Alex Agorbia who is yet to recover from a knee injury.
Emmanuel Anarfi of Feyenoord, who is to serve a one match ban after been sent off in the last game is not part of the 23-man squad whilst the likes of Floyd Kotey and Jaarah Teiko failed to make the grade.
Other invited players are Patrick Antwi, Bawa Mumuni, Felix Baffoe and Micheal Helegbe from Liberty Professionals, Iddi Yekeni and Michael Akuffo - Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy, Prince Tagoe and Joseph Ababio - Hearts of Oak, Prince Antwi and Iddi Yahaya - Kumasi King Faisal, Eric Owusu and Anthony Annan - Sekondi Hassacas and Samuel Yeboah and Dramani Aminu from Kpando Heart of Lions.
The rest of the invited players are Gado Mohamed - Accra Great Olympics, Alhaji Musah of Aduana Stars and Douglas Nkrumah from the camp of Power FC.
