Black Stars hold first training

16 Black Stars players trained on Tuesday evening for the first time under coach Milovan Rajevac in Accra ahead of Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

Qatar-based striker Opoku Agyemang who arrived early that morning joined his colleagues in training at the El Wak Stadium which lasted for two hours.

Captain Stephen Appiah led the team's jogging which lasted for 30 minutes, before practicing set-pieces at one half of the pitch.

Holland-based Mathew Amoah scored an excellent goal with a thunderbolt volley just outside the box.

Sulley Muntari was also applauded by the fans after he beat goalkeeper William Amamoo from an acute angle.

The team ended their training session with penalty shoot-outs.

Quartet Michael Essien, Anthony Annan, Prince Tagoe and Richard Kingson are expected tomorrow to complete the list of invited players.

List of players who trained: Goalkeepers: George Owu and William Amamoo Defenders: John Mensah, John Paintsil, Samuel Inkoom, Harrison Afful, Isaac Vorsah and Eric Addo.

Midfielders: Haminu Draman, Laryea Kingston, Stephen Appiah Sulley Muntari and Opoku Agyemang.

Strikers: Mathew Amoah, Asamoah Gyan and Junior Agogo.
