Black Stars will go all the way: Rev. Minister

A UK based minister, philanthropist, educationist and soccer enthusiast has said he is confident Ghana will go all the way in South Africa. Speaking live on Maakora Radio a Ghanaian community based Radio in London from the MK Dons stadium Rev. Henry Godson-Afful praised the preparation and team spirit in the camp of the Stars.

He was also full of praise for the government, GFA, team sponsors and the Black Stars management team for the great effort they have put in to ensure the Stars put up a good showing in South Africa. Rev. Godson-Afful said he is very confident the Stars will make Ghana proud in the greatest football competition.

Rev. Godson-Afful spent time interacting with key players and management of the Stars ahead of their game against Latvia and remarked afterward: ‘ I am very pleased with the humility off the players and their quest to win for Ghana and Africa’. ‘It was good to see Kevin Prince Boateng singing and dancing to some lovely gospel jama tunes as well as blending in very well with the rest of the squad’ he continued.

He was very optimistic players like Kwadwo Asamoah, Tony Annan and some of the young Stars will take the world by surprise. Rev. Godson-Afful whose team Tadi United FC plays in the 3rd division of Ghana’s football league called on all Ghanaians to support Ghana at all cost to give the team the necessary boost to do well in South Africa.

Ghana’s first match is on Sunday 13th June against Serbia in what promises to be an emotional game for Ghana’s head coach Milovan Rajevac.
