Black stars press FA for cash

Ghana's senior national squad members still have not been paid their bonuses for winning last Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

The players have been pestering Ghanaian FA officials about the money all week but as of yet have not received any positive response. Investigations have since revealed however, that there was no budgetary allocation for the game. It is not certain why the ministry of youth and sports did not make any financial allocation for the match, which until Saturday was a crucial one for the Black Stars.

The players who are expected to resume training on Monday in preparation for Ghana's final, yet meaningless, World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria have expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation.

If not resolved quickly, the bonus issue would surely affect morale in the Ghanaian camp.
