Boateng eyes title, Coppa and contract

evin-Prince Boateng wants something even more than the Scudetto and Coppa Italia this year – he desires a Milan contract.

The midfielder is on course to win the double in his first season in Italy, but his future is up for discussion.

Co-owned by both Milan and Genoa, he has no doubts about where he wants to be playing his football next season.

“I could get a new tattoo to celebrate the Scudetto, but also the Coppa Italia. However, the victory I want more is a contract with Milan,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.

“How will it end? I’ll be heading on holiday as I have a desire for the beach and the sea. I’ll leave my future in the hands of the people who do this for a living.”

The Ghanaian international is so desperate to remain that he has no fears about the club’s possible signing of Ganso.

“I don’t know who will arrive, but I’m not moving from the attacking midfield. If someone new arrives then we’ll be in competition for a place.”

Boateng was also asked for his views on the rumours linking international teammate Michael Essien of Chelsea with a Milan move.

“We are great friends,” he added. “Essien is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. I’d love to play alongside him, but I’ll leave it up to Milan to decide.”
