Namibia’s Brave Warriors have touched down Kumasi ahead of Wednesday’s international friendly with Ghana.
The friendly game has been confirmed for the Baba Yara Stadium in the second capital of Ghana and will serve as a test for both teams’ preparation towards the Cosafa Cup in May and the CHAN Championship later this year.
Namibia arrived in Accra on Monday with 19 players before moving on to Kumasi. AshantiGold midfielder Petrus Shitembi has also joined the team to shore up the numbers for the coach Ricardo Mannetti side.
Namibia’s 20-man squad includes defender Charles Hambira (Tura Magic), midfielders Gregory Aukumeb (Blue Waters FC), Robert Nganjone ans Joslin Kamatuka (African Stars) as well as Orlando Pirates forward Nicky Musambani, who are having their debut call-ups.
The Brave Warriors travel to face Togo at the weekend after Wednesday’s encounter with the Local Black Stars in Kumasi.
