CAF Cup: Faisal In Action

CONTINENTAL HOPEFULS, King Faisal Babies move into action against FAR of Morocco in the CAF Confederations Cup at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium scheduled for Accra on Sunday.

Faisal embark on this assignment with at least two dreams -to call off the bluff of FAR so as to make their grip on the table intact as they seek to maintain their 100% record in the competition, after beating Fello Stars and A.S Marsa from Guinea and Tunisia respectively.

The Moroccans eliminated Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions' League Competition, and Faisal would take the opportunity to revenge.

The technical directorate of Faisal, headed by Francis Oti-Akenteng, would depend largely on a possible defence of Mohammed Habib, Emmanuel Nkrumah, Iddrisu Yahaya, Richard Adjei and Shilla Illiasu to provide the needed shield for goalkeeper Mohammed Suraj.

Ghanaians would be hoping to see a possible midfield understanding between Prince Antwi and Abubakar Yahuza to lubricate the transmission lines for Ben Wilson, Kwabena Poku, Eric Gawu, Nyaya and Osman Sakora, to make victory certain.

Indeed, the entire squad is battle-ready and yearning to prove its worth on the continent.

To offer a meaningful national support to the Ghanaian club, the Professional Board of the Ghana Football Association, in consultation with the national Sports Council and the Ministry of Education and Sports, has rescheduled the weekend's premier league matches for Saturday.
