Accra, Dec 9, GNA - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) inspection trio would begin a three-day tour of Ghana next January to access the progress of work ahead of the scheduled CAN 2008 tourney. The team led by Mr. Slim Aloulou, CAF Executive Member from Tunisia includes Suleiman Habuba, Director of Communications and Jean Marie Weber; a Marketing Advisor, are expected to be here in the country from January 3-7.
The visit, the Federation's second in four months is in accordance with CAF's requirement in the award of the right to organise and host the Nations Cup.
The team is pencilled to visit all the four venues and other facilities earmarked for the 2008 event and engage the Local Organising Committee (LOC), the Ministry of Education and Sports and other stakeholders in discussions.
The first visit was in August when the General Seyi Memene-led delegation visited the country. The national Wembley, the Ohene Djan, the Baba Yara in Kumasi, Sekondi- Takoradi and the Tamale venues would host the three-week event that brings together the continents' finest.
