The arrival of Cameroon's advanced party yesterday forced the remaining members of the Nigerian team and their officials to be asked to vacate their rooms at the Alisa Hotel, Accra.
The Cameroonian delegation made up officials from FECAFOOT and ex-international Stephen Tawtaw, alighted at the hotel reception yesterday morning to prepare the grounds for the Indomitable Lions expected to arrive late yesterday in Accra from Tamale ahead of their semi final meeting with Ghana tomorrow.
But they left a complaint to the hotel management about the non vacation of the hotel by the Eagles two days after the Nigerians were eliminated from the tournament by the hosts.
The arrival and complaint of the Cameroonians forced the organisers to serve a quit notice to the Nigerians to vacate their rooms before noon.
Some of the Eagles players notably, Joseph Yobo and Seyi Olofinjana checked out to beat the deadline while Nwankwo Kanu relocated to a new hotel in Accra on Monday night.
NFA officials, who stayed in the second wing of the hotel, were expected to leave for Lagos yesterday evening after reviewing the dismal Nations Cup campaign of the team in the last two days.
