Kumasi Asante Kotoko risk losing midfield dynamo Larbi Coomson if the club fails to agree contractual terms with him by Monday afternoon, Finawhistlegh.com has gathered.
The player’s agent and Medeama FC, according to insiders, are demanding GHS60,000 before the player signs a three-year contract, but the Porcupine Warriors are yet to pay a dime of the said amount, after agreeing terms with Medeama FC a few months ago.
Interestingly, officials of Kumasi Asante Kotoko included Larbi’s name to the African Champions League list even though they were yet come to an agreement with his parent club.
However, Asante Kotoko are left with less than 24 hours to formalize the signing of the playmaker as registration of players in the domestic league closes by 5pm on Monday.
Should management of Asante Kotoko fail to salvage the situation, the club would be compelled to withdraw the name of Larbi from the Africa list – a decision which could adversely affect the team’s Champions league campaign.
