Coach Moses Cofie urges Black Stars to go for the ultimate

Sudan based Ghanaian Football Coach Moses Cofie has urged the Black Stars to go all out to win the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Speaking to yours truly in an exclusive interview the former Accra Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics and Liberty Professionals player noted that Ghana has come a very long way in winning the cup.
He noted that it is very sad that the Black Stars play so well and cannot reach the trophy in the last four editions of the AFCON.
According to Coach Cofie who is in his third time in Sudan as a Football Trainer with El Nisoor FC having been in the country since 2011, the African terrain is a different ball game, and the Black Stars players must be aware that Ghanaians would never forgive them if they do not go to the finals of AFCON 2015.
Moses Cofie, an experienced coach in his own standard, having worked with the late Sly Tetteh of Liberty Professionals fame for a long time said the Black Stars are always favourites in the African Cup competition, but they are often too complacent, and are shocked by unknown teams like it happened in South Africa 2013 when Mali edged out Ghana.
He expressed that Ghana should learn from the FIFA World Cup and prove that they are the best and better than Algeria who were named the best nation in 2014, Senegal and South Africa who are in the same group. He prayed that Ghana will qualify and move on to the finals.
Moses Cofie who always love to develop African talents and African Football in general that is for one reason why he decided to go to Sudan praised the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for ensuring that despite the Ebola Scare, the African Cup must be held in January 2015.
He congratulated the 16 finalists, but prayed that Ghana will win to please the Cup starved Ghanaians who have waited for almost 33 years without a major international trophy or medals.
On Football in Sudan, he hinted that Football is an universal game and now there are no minnows in the game.
“People have learnt how to play and we are teaching them the best ways to become superstars, so every player and every club ought to be respected” he said.
Moses Cofie is looking forward to face another Ghanaian Coach Kwesi Appiah who recently joined the Sudan League.
Cofie noted that it was great that Ghanaian coaches are been poached by clubs on the continent, because they are very experienced and talented.
