The Ashanti region’s second most celebrated football club, Cornerstone Football Club has signed a joint venture agreement with Authum Moon Company of London. It will ensure that the club is run professionally to become a model club. Under the agreement, Authum Moon will retain 70 percent of whatever profits accrued to the club while the club takes 30 percent after operational expenses have been deducted.
Sheik Ibrahim Antwi, Executive Chairman of Cornerstone says a well-equipped secretariat is to be put in place by Authum Moon from where the club would be run. The name, colours and souvenirs of the club will however remain unchanged the company will employ an experienced coach to handle the team.
Under the re-organisation of the club, Sheik Antwi assumes the post of Executive Chairman with Mr K.N. Afoakwa as his vice; Ekwaw Dadzie, Secretary; John Ackon, Team Manager/Coach and Nana Mensah Bonsu, as welfare officer.
Mr Kwaku Duah is director of Operations, Dr Albert Prempeh, member/director; Collins Darko, General Captain; Safo Adu, club captain and Rafiq Hassan, assistant captain.
Meanwhile the club's tour of South Korea would come off soon since the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has already sanctioned it.
