Herve Renard, head coach of the Cote d’Ivoire national team, believes Ghana can win the African Cup of Nations if they could play the final game again.
The Ivorians last Sunday ended their Nations Cup jinx after a penalty shoot-out against Ghana in an epic Nations Cup final.
The Elephants claimed their second Nations Cup title after beating Ghana 9-8 on penalties as the final ended 0-0 following extra time.
"Ghana is a good side and I have had the privilege of working with some of them and I think they will bounce back," Renard told the post-game press conference.
"This is their second defeat in the final since 2010 while this would have been our third so they may be lucky the next once they are in next time," he added.
The 46-year-old coach is the first tactician to win the trophy with two different countries as he won it in 2012 with Zambia.
"For me I can say I am a lucky coach who had the pleasure of working with (an) extra-ordinary group of players," the French tactician concluded.
