English-born Ghanaian defender Curtis Obeng has returned to Swansea after his loan spell at Newport County.
The 25-year-old made six appearances for Newport during his time at Rodney Parade, but has left the club despite an injury to Andrew Hughes who will be out for four months.
"We were never likely to be able to do anything permanently with Curtis, in terms of the boy's wages," manager Justin Edinburgh told the club’s website.
"Curtis feels he has one or two options for a permanent move elsewhere, so he's going back to Swansea so he can explore that. We wish him well."
Obeng who plays as a central defender and a right back began his youth career at Manchester City.
