Danish Superleague side FC Midtjylland are set to expand their co-operation network to include Ghanaian club Maamobi.
The Danes already have a domestic agreement in place with Ikast, but the link with the African side, who are based in the Ghanaian capital Accra, means they have a broader spectrum of players to look at in the future.
Midtjylland director Jens Orgaard told Danish daily BT: "At first we were gong to buy half of the club, but now we have bought the whole thing."
The idea is that the Danes can invest in the African side and with a wider scouting network they can unearth promising talents who can eventually then be sold on to bigger clubs.
Orgaard also argues that the deal will be good for players who will be able to use the Danes as a stepping-stone, and more easily get over the culture shock that is often encountered when they move to Europe.
