Ghana defender Daniel Opare arrived at the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul on Wednesday morning as he attempts to complete a move to Turkish Spor Toto Super Lig club Besiktas,DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm.
The 24-year-old, who was whisked away by Besiktas representatives to a hotel upon arrival, will undergo a medical at the club on Thursday.
Reports in Turkey say the ex-Standard Liege right-back will start training with Besiktas on Thursday after he pens a six-month loan deal with the side.
Opare has struggled to hold down a spot at FC Porto after making only two appearances for the reserves team of the Portuguese club this season.
