Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has served notice to Ghana’s first-choice custodian Fatau Dauda to brace for a long wait on the bench.
The former Ashantigold regular is yet to make his debut for the Sea Robbers since joining them at the beginning of the season. Although he believes his time will come, Meyiwa has told KickOff that period will not be now.
Meyiwa lost his place to Moeneeb Josephs until the 2012-13 season and feels the Ghanaian must also learn to endure.
“I waited very long for my opportunity, because Moeneeb was the number one and he was also in the national team," Meyiwa recalled.
“It is the same with Dauda. He is a professional and he must wait for his chance. I don’t know what will happen with him going to the World Cup, but I will make sure I keep my jersey and do my best.”
