From the blast of the whistle, BRM dictated the pace of the game and got the opener through centre forward Iddrus Mohammed whose powerful shot hit the upright before entering the net in the 44th minute.
Soccer missionaries resumed the second half with greater determination and came close to scoring in the 60th and 65th minutes but their forwards squandered the chances.
They continued to dominate the game but their hopes of drawing level with BRM were dashed when outside right Alex Coffie exploited a defensive blunder to raise the tally to 2-0 in the 78th minutes.
Successes in the division three league matches
The division three league matches seem to be getting on well with most of the competing clubs poised to take home whatever is at stake to be won.At Kuntanase in the Eastern Region, the local Kuntanase Eleven Wise beat Ampabame Green-Eagles by a lone goal in their third division encounter at Kuntanase.
The 89th minute goal scored by Mohammed Seidu enabled his side to collect the three maximum points. Both teams played a good game to entertain soccer fans but they were not able to find the nets of their opponents until Mohammed Seidu scored the only goal of the encounter in the 89th minute.
In another encounter, Atwima District's Mpasatia Mighty Stars beat Buoho Golden Stars by two goals to nil in their third division league match played at Mpasatia in the Ashanti Region.
Mighty Stars took the lead through inside left John Nsiah whose beautiful header found the net in the 22nd minute. Their second goal was in the 50th minute through their centre forward man, Fuseini Adams. The second half produced no goals even though Mighty Stars dominated the game and could have increased the tally.
In yet another fiesta at Mankranso in the Ashanti Region, Mankanso Western Show Boys football team beat Bredi
Adom Stars 3-2 in their third division league match played at Mankranso.
Mankranso Western Show boys had their first goal in the 10th minute through right full back Thomas Nsiah. They scored their second goal in the 30th minute when their opponents committed a defensive blunder. In the 40th minute Seidu Anas scored their third goal to put them in a comfortable lead.
The tide changed in the second half when Bredi Adom Stars adopted an all- attacking game during which they scored two goals in the 60th and 75th through James Aidoo and John Bour respectively to make the scores 3-2.
There were more surprises and fun when at Biemso, Apatrapa Adusei Stars playing away beat Biemso Susubiribi by two goals to nil in their third league match played at Biemso.
The visitors had their two goals in the second half of the game. There were no goals in the first half. Adusei Stars, who were more determined to carry the day, had their first goal in the 57th minute through centre forward Adu Poku Joel while inside right Emmanuel Bonsu made it two for Adusei Stars ten minutes later to make victory certain.
