Former Hearts of Oak and Aduana Stars winger, Bernard Don Bortey has officially joined Swedish second tier side, Ange FI, the club confirmed via their official twitter handle.
The former national star has been without a club after ending his stay with Panthers FC of Equatorial Guinea where he was one of their best players during their 2013/14 CAF Confederation cup campaign but they got eliminated by Ghanaian side Medeama SC.
The 32-year-old speedster on his return to Ghana had discussions with host of premier league clubs in Ghana but he failed to land a deal but he never got deflated as he continued the search for a new club.
And Anthony Obodai who was Don Bortey’s team mate during the 1997 World U-17 champions held in New Zealand is currently with Ange IF and he recommended his former national team mate to his club which his club officials also accepted and signed him [Bernard Don Bortey].
However Bernard Don Bortey is expected to mark his debut for Ange IF in a league game against Boden coming this Saturday depending on the arrival of his International Transfer Certificate [ITC].
