Eghan strikes equaliser for Twente on injury return

Ghanaian youth attacker Shadrach Eghan made a strong statement about his intentions for the season when he came off the substitute bench to net the equaliser for FC Twente in their 2-2 drawn game with ADO Den Haag.

The 19-year-old who was playing his first game of the Dutch season had to come off the bench in the 66th minute and rescued a point for his side with four minutes of normal time left for play.

Eghan, whose season start was delayed due to an ankle problem climbed off the bench to take the place of Tim Hölscher and he ensure Twente avoided defeat before 28,500 home fans at the De Grolsch Veste.

The Akosombo-born missed most parts of the pre-season due to his injury but his goal on his debut appearance means he could do more if he gains full fitness.
