Egypt’s sports minister, Taher Abou-Zeid has announced that fans will be allowed into the Air Defence Stadium when the Pharaohs take on Ghana on November 19 in the second leg of the World Cup qualifying play-off.
Fans had been banned from attending matches due to security concerns.
It is believed the new directive stems from the toughness of the game as Egypt seek to end their 24-year-wait for a World Cup appearance.
The first leg takes place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on October 15.
