Ismialia, Sept 28, GNA - English U-20 Coach, Brain Eastict believes his side will live to regret if they fail to defend well when they lock horns with Ghana's Black Satellites in a Group D game on Tuesday at the Ismialia Stadium.

England lost 0-1 to Uruguay on match day one, and Coach Eastict is of the view that Ghana will present a stiffer challenge to their aspiration of emerging one of the top two to progress to the next stage of the competition.

"It will be foolish for me to say we will beat a team as good as Ghana," he told GNA Sports in Ismailia. "They are good individual players and a strong team that plays with good spirit."

The coach said his charges are well rested and recovered from their loss in the game against Uruguay and will seek a few chances against the African Champions, who require a win to authenticate progress to the next stage of the competition.

"We are under no illusion at all about Ghana's pedigree; but can we get our first three points? Can we get some cutting edge in the final third? We will lay for that."

He said his side must defend well and overcome their usual last 15 minutes loss of energy during games if they are to stand any realistic chance against Ghana, who came from behind to beat Uzbekistan 2-1 last Saturday. The coach told GNA Sports his charges have been together as a team in a while and will attempt to improve against Ghana on Tuesday. England succumbed to a late substitute Tabare Viudez strike in their opener against Uruguay in a game the English played very well. 28 Sept. 09
