Ghanaian midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi has sent his goodwill message to his Black Stars colleagues ahead of their AFCON opening fixture Tuesday against Uganda at exactly 4pm local time.
The former Malmo FF midfielder who recently joined Turkish side Aksahir Beledeyespor is very optimistic the Black Stars can go all the way in the African biennial tournament being held in Gabon.
The Black stars have failed to lift the Cup of Nations in over thirty-three(35) years even though they have made it to two(2) final of the last four(4) AFCON editions but Enoch Adu Kofi is optimistic the current team can break the jinx by annexing the trophy in Gabon.
“I know the black stars have not won the nation’s cup for sometime now but am very optimistic they can do it this time round. It won’t be easy because all the teams especially in our group are good but I believe in the team and I wish them all the best of luck for this huge challenge” He said.
The Black stars begin their Afcon campaign today with a tricky clash with the cranes of Uganda to be followed by clashes with Mali and fellow tournament favorites Egypt in group D.
