Despite losing 2-1 in Sudan over the weekend, Team manger of Rangers International Davison Owumi and chief coach Lawrence Akpokona have started plans on how to beat Ashanti Kotoko in Enugu and the downfall of Petro Atletico as both meet in the final group stage match billed for Luanda.
on arrival at the Mutala Mohammed Airport, Akpokona expressed sadness over the result of their match against Sudan, hoping that the team would amend when they would play Ashanti Kotoko and Atletico.
"I thought we would have achieved good result against Sudan both as you can see it is not we expected. Most of our key players were down with injuries this alone made me to lose hope in the first place but I thank God we still have two matches to play and those matches will qualify us to the finals," he said.
He however hoped that those players who were down with injury would be able to recover before their next home match against Ashanti kotoko of Ghana billed for Enugu next weekend.
In the same view Owumi disclosed that the players would resume training Wednesday in preparation for the rest of their games.
"We will resume training by Wednesday so that we will be able to correct those lapses we discovered during our last match against Sudan, and to prepare for the big task ahead because we must plan on how to win the remaining two matches," he added.
