Accra, Aug 8, GNA - The Management Board of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has announced the forfeiture of the July salary of their striker, George Eranio for what they described as his unsporting behaviour.
The management said the player's conduct is unacceptable and that "we, in addition to the normal Ghana Football Association (GFA) sanctions, have decided that you forfeit your salary for July 2005". A statement signed by Mr Thomas Okine, Chief Executive of the Club said the Management of the Club takes strong exception of the retaliatory behaviour of the player, which led to his expulsion in the 18th week Premier League match against Kumasi King Faisal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on July 31.
It said the commensurate fine imposed by the GFA would also be surcharged against the player's August salary.
Eranio is currently serving a three match ban after receiving a red card in the game against his former club.
The statement said, "This conduct is unacceptable and we may take severe action against you if you are expelled again for such needless offences".
