Essien could leave AC Milan as Turkish giants Besiktas prepare massive offer for Ghanaian
Turkish giants Besiktas are pursuing AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien and are preparing a big contract to lure him away from the San Siro.
Essien joined Milan from Chelsea in January for free, but failed to become a regular starter.
Rai Sport’s TV show Zona 11 reports that the Turkish club are ready to offer him a three-year contract with a €4 million annual wage.
However, they do not want to pay anything to Milan to get him, therefore, he would have to find a way to rescind his current contract.
In six months at Milan, the 31-year-old Ghanaian has made only nine appearances, playing a total of 485 minutes.
