Ghana midfielder Michael Essien was put on AC Milan bench on Saturday, just three days after joining the Italian club from Chelsea.
Essien, who completed his move from the English side on Tuesday, was on the bench for the Serie A when they drew 1-1 with Torino.
Coach Clarence Seedorf did not give the Ghanaian superstar some time to rest since his move from England as he included Essien in his team for the match.
Essien sat on the bench for the entire duration of the game but Seedorf’s action shows that the Ghanaian will be key for AC Milan in their future matches.
The chance to revive who keep his career on track before the World Cup is something that Essien is keen on and the playing opportunity at AC Milan will come for the Ghanaian.
Muntari was in action for AC Milan in the match and he set up the side’s goal scored by Rami in the 41st minute.
He was later substituted by De Jong.
