Fener Chasing Israel's Top Scorer Yeboah

Numerous reports this weekend indicate that Fenerbahçe are after Samuel Yeboah, the top goal-scorer in Israel. The Ghana native has been lighting up opponents this season, and the Canaries aren't the only club interested in making a move for the rising young star.

Turkish newspapers Sabah and Hurriyet are reporting that Fener are preparing to make an offer for Samuel Yeboah. The 22-year-old Ghana native currently plays for Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel. His fifteen goals led all scorers in the Israeli league this season.

Yeboah has seen his stock rise this season, and a number of European clubs are interested. Bayer Leverkusen of Germany and CSKA Moscow, managed by former Canary boss Zico, are among the teams looking at Yeboah.

The Ghana native joined Hapoel Tel Aviv just last year, coming over from Hapoel Kfar Saba. Reports indicate that if Fener sign Yeboah, he may not be the only Ghana footballer on the roster next season. Numerous media reports earlier this week stated that former Canary midfielder Stephen Appiah is interested in returning to the club. Fener parted ways with Appiah last summer after a lengthy dispute, but the star has yet to sign with a club despite being a free agent.
