Gilbert Fiamenyo can’t wait to make the switch from Kpando to Accra and is urging current club Heart of Lions and Hearts of Oak to sort out their differences so he can seal a move to the capital club. The burly striker who has previously played for Hearts, remains tied to Lions with a year of his contract remaining. But the Kpando based club are reportedly demanding about GH¢80,000 for his signature and have told the Phobians to stump up that figure or forget about the deal altogether. Hearts have however apparently also stated their offer and are unwilling to meet Lions’ asking price.
Fiamenyo told 90 MINUTES via phone on Saturday: “I want to join Hearts because they are a big club and I’ve also played there before. “So whatever is the problem between Hearts and Lions they should sort it out for me to make the move as the delays won’t serve anybody’s purpose.”
He continued: “Hearts are definitely a big club where I can be guaranteed of a bigger platform to get called up for the national team. I think I am the Black Stars striker for the future and playing at a club like Hearts is the right step towards that goal.
“I’m therefore appealing to both parties to arrive at a consensus soon in order for me to get the needed concentration and move on with my career.”
