Fifa president Gianni Infantino has sent a congratulatory message to All Stars for emerging champions of the Ghana Premier League.
The Wa-based side beat closest contenders Aduana Stars to the coveted title, becoming the first team from Northern Ghana to lay hands on the trophy on Sunday.
"Please pass on my own personal congratulations, along with those of the whole football family to Wa All Stars on their performance," part of the letter signed by Infantino read.
"A national victory is a wonderful occasion and an opportunity to draw satisfaction from a job well done.
"I know that behind this success are the belief and effort of everyone involved.
"This is a true team victory, and all of you deserve to share in the accolades: the players and coach of course, but also the technical and medical staff and, not least, the loyal fans.
"The dynamism and commitment of the Wa All Stars team have enabled them to win this title."
All Stars wrapped up the title on the penultimate matchday, beating Aduana 2-1 in a top-of-the-table clash at a time when both teams were tied on points.
The Northern Blues won 15 of 30 matches in all, drawing six and losing nine.
They will be Ghana's sole representatives in the 2017 Caf Champions League.
