German legend Franz Beckenbauer has likened the ingenuity of Ghana winger Andre Ayew to that of his father and legend Abedi Pele.
The Kaizer said the 21-year-old is a direct carbon copy of three-time African Footballer of the Year after watching him in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday night.
Andre scored a brace to help under-performing Olympique dispatch Dortmund 3-0 to consolidate their lead IN Group F.
Beckenbauer, 66, who guided Marseille to the final of 1990-91 European Cup finals said there is no difference between Andre and his father.
“Like father, like son. The kind of goal that marked his father Abedi Pele’s excellence when I was a coach 20 years ago,” Beckenbauer, who now acts as a football consultant for a German TV said.
Andre Ayew is widely tipped to for greatness by many pundits
