The Ghana Football Association (GFA) yesterday outdoored a 30-seater bus to be used by the national teams at its secretariat.
The bus, a MAN Clubstar 469 has an eight-man conference apartment, a toilet, kitchen, two television sets and a refrigerator among other gadgets.
Mr. Yussif Adam Ibrahim, Chairman of the Executive Council of the GFA said the bus was purchased from the FIFA Goal Project Fund but would not disclose the cost.
He said, "This is an indication that the FA is using its resources wisely and what is now left, is to ensure that the bus is well maintained".
Mr. Ibrahim said the provision of the bus would go a long way to provide players of the national teams the needed comfort as well as save cost.
The chairman expressed appreciation to the State Insurance Company for providing an insurance cover for the bus gratis.
He said it is time for Ghanaians to give support for sports development which brings joy to all during victories.
State Insurance Company has presented a Comprehensive Motor Insurance Cover with ?500 million Sum Insured to the Ghana Football Association in respect of an ultra-modern bus acquired for the Black Stars.
Receiving the one-year free Insurance Cover, Mr. Ben Koufie Chairman of the Ghana Football Association commended SIC for its support for sports dating back to the 1960s.
The Managing Director of SIC, Mr. Peter Osei Duah assured that SIC would continue to identify with sports development in Ghana and also offer reliable comprehensive insurance to corporate organisations and individuals.
The Secretary-General of the GFA Mr. Kofi Nsiah led the press corps on a tour of the city on board the new bus.
