The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is calling on all stakeholders to protect the sanctity of the game by upholding fair play as the Ghanaian League season reaches a climax.
At a meeting involving the Emergency Committee, the PLB and the Referees Committee on Tuesday, important issues to ensure a successful end to the football season were discussed. Key among the issues deliberated on was officiating.
Match officials were urged to be conscious of the Laws of the Game and strictly apply them without fear or favour.
The GFA wishes to reiterate this call to match officials and all stakeholders and further cautions them to desist from acts which will impugn on the integrity of the game at this important stage of the season.
The GFA/PLB will continue to be vigilant in its supervisory role and will severely deal with any club or match official found guilty of any act of impropriety in accordance with the rules governing the GFA.
