Accra, March 24, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is inviting tender for the television and radio broadcast rights for the 2005 premier league, which commences in April.
Media houses interested in any of the rights are expected to submit two copies of the tender to the General Secretary of the GFA by April 4, 2005.
Mr Emmanuel Gyimah, Deputy General Secretary of the GFA, in a statement said, the applicant with the highest number of advertising slots, plus broadcast fees, and affiliate/regional partners would be awarded the rights.
The statement said the applicant would be required to provide further clarification to the GFA in respect of their tenders.
According to the statement, the successful bidder should be able to outline and propose in detail a marketing concept for the broadcast of the rights including the publicity and the services to be provided. The rights holder would, however, be responsible for on air promotion of the GT Premier League, on air advertising for the products and cooperate image of the title sponsor and sub-sponsors.
The right holder would also produce and broadcasts at least two matches a week and advertise, market, promote and publicise the event through its medium.
The statement said the GFA would cede all its rights to the successful applicant pertaining to the event.
It would, however, not be responsible for any loss incurred in the broadcasting and could not be held responsible for any loss suffered by the applicant but the GFA would lend its full support.
