The date for the Ghana Football Association’s Extra-Ordinary Session of Congress to elect its President has postponed indefinitely.
According to the GFA, the indefinite postponement of the scheduled progarmme is to allow for the completion of the arbitration process before the Dispute Resolution Committee over the candidatures of Vincent Sowah Odotei and Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe for election for the Presidency.
The FA today announced the decision as Congress was to hold the election of the President at its Extra-Ordinary Session on April 28, 2011.
Both individuals filed separate notices with the Executive Committee contesting the decision of the Elections Committee to disqualify their candidatures to contest for the office of the President.
In accordance with article 42.0 of the GFA Statutes, the Ex.Co referred the matter to the Dispute Resolution Committee.
