GFA urges Hearts and Kotoko on

Accra, Oct. 22, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has urged Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko to remain focussed in their Confederation Cup matches to ensure an all Ghana grand finale.

In a statement issued by Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA, it said the association has followed with keen interest their excellent display of Ghanaian football skills resulting in their vintage performance to put their put their dream finals on course.

It congratulated them for their excellent performances in the competition last weekend and is of the conviction that they are capable of fulfilling this dream.

Hearts walloped Sable d' Batie of Cameroon 5-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium while Asante Kotoko picked a vital away point in their match against Petro Athletico of Angola.

"As you prepare to face your next opponents, we have absolute confidence in your abilities to win your respective matches." The statement added.

The statement assured Hearts and Kotoko of the support and prayers of Ghanaians as they continue to lift the flag of Ghana high and congratulated them for their sterling performances so far.

Both Hearts and Kotoko would trek to South Africa and Nigeria respectively to face their next opponents in the competition. Hearts will be hosted by Club Santos of South Africa, whilst Kotoko play as the guests of Enugu Rangers of Nigeria.
