Accra, Nov. 19, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) is to present a cow and other food items worth more than 10 million cedis to Accra Hearts of Oak, one of the two Ghanaian club finalist in the maiden CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday.
The presentation will take place during recess of the final GT Premier League match between Hearts and Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Mr Kudjo Fianoo, Administrative Manager of GHALCA told the GNA Sports on Friday that a similar presentation would be made to the second finalist, Kotoko, in Kumasi on Tuesday, November 23.
The items would include three bags of rice each, cartons of Ideal Milk, Milo and bottled water plus some creates of soft drinks. This tradition of presenting items especially cows to Ghanaian club finalists in any of the CAF organized competitions was initiated by the association in 1997 when AshantiGold, then known as Ashanti Goldfields played Raja Casablanca of Morocco in the Champions League finals. A similar gesture was extended to Hearts in 2000 and Kotoko two years later.
