Gambia'05: Opoku Agyeman Leads Goalking Race

With only two games left to be played to draw the curtains down on yet another edition of African Under-17 Championship, Ghana?s Opoku Agyeman is gradually establishing himself as the most prolific >goal-getter and the ?dangerboy? in the on-going tournament in Gambia.

Opoku Agyeman has so far scored a total of four goals, one each in all the four matches that he has played for the Black Starlets of Ghana. As a result, he is in poll position for winning the Golden Boot Award alongside Cote D?Ivoire?s Beko Ismael Fofana who has four goals to his credit, having scored two goals each in two of the four matches played so far by his team.

However, both players have a match at hand and either of them stands a greater chance of being crowned the eventual goal king in the tournament. In the last two matches left, whilst Cote D?Ivoire will be meeting South Africa in the 3rd place match on Saturday, the tournament?s favourites and two-times World Champions, the Black Starlets of Ghana will be drawing blood out of the host nation, Gambia on Sunday in the grand finale.

So far, this is the goal king chart:
