George Owu: I prefer Kwarasey to Fatau Dauda

The goalkeeper for Sekondi Hasaacas, George Owu, believes Adam Kwarasey is the answer to Black Stars goalkeeping problems as the nation prepares for the World Cup in Brazil.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper thinks although the former Ashgold shot-stopper kept the post to ensure Ghana’s qualification into the World Cup, he wants the Stromgodset skipper to be the number one choice due to his regular football action for his club.

“The two goalkeepers are good, but Fatau Dauda has been warming at the bench of Orlando Pirates while Kwarasey guided his club to win the Norwegian league.

“Despite the fact that Fatau kept the post during the World Cup qualifiers, I prefer Kwarasey to him due to his regular club football action,” Owu told Allsports.com.gh.

The former Kotoko and Black Stars goalkeeper has been very instrumental in the success story of Hasaacas in the premier league this season, earning him calls from a section of football fans to get a return into the Black Stars.
